Our mission, our people.

The UK Bluefin Tuna Association is a not-for-profit membership based organisation comprised of anglers, charter skippers and various sea angling organisations established to help secure a future for Atlantic bluefin tuna in UK waters and beyond. It grew out of the team, ‘Bluefin Tuna UK’ that campaigned for, won and delivered the highly successful CHART Bluefin Tag and release research programmes in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland from 2021-2023. From 2023 we worked with government agencies to deliver the English and Welsh Bluefin Catch and Release Recreational Fisheries starting in 2024.
